you did ok.....priced about right.

why do you need another schon short?....you just got that bad ass wrap done by mike webb.

nice players cue.....i like the multiple rings.

if you took better pics of it, and resold it, you will break even or make some $$.

I e-mailed him for photos of the points and he said he didn't have any. It bothered me that he couldn't take some pics. I can tell they will be slightly rounded.

I think it is an early Schon, about 1990 or so. If there is no "Schon " on the shaft and you can see the linen in the joint collar, that dates it.

As far as the prices goes, if it's as advertised and is in excellent condition, it's a good deal. I would have valued that cue at about $500. Schons have been going cheap lately except for the spliced point cues. Schons from that era are some of the finest players in my opinion.

Yes, attractive cue and a nice price.
I was also watching the Schon and his Gilbert jump/break cue, and emailed saying that I was leary about bidding on the Gilbert, given that his sister was shilling for him, and the cue was missing the shaft. His response was "well then bid on it right now and i will sell it to you for 1100 no more no less", so I took both off my 'watched' list. I think the guy's elevator is way short of the top floor, but he'll deliver.

Oh now that's a big help.

Anyway, I paid for the schon via paypal with my credit card, just in case.

I bought it as a backup to my existing schon with the "bad ass" wrap...*grin*

Always good to have a backup.
