I'm looking to promote the game of pool. I live in Philadelphia, and often frequent rooms up and down the I-95 corridor from Boston to D.C.. I'm looking for any room owners who have tshirts that advertise their room to send me a 2XL so I can wear them on a frequent basis to create an awareness of the game. Craig from Cue & Cushion in St. Louis, MO...has already kindly offered to send me a couple t-shirts from his establishment. I'll be posting pictures of the different thsirts as they arrive. I look forward to a positive response. :) Think of it as free advertising and a great way to promote the game in a day where we need it greatly. :-) If you happen to have magnets...I'll cover my Jeep Wrangler in 'em.

Sincerely, Hayden McCall

Interesting post. You would think that room owners would have little give-aways like tee shirts, key chains, pens, etc. for their customers. You shouldn't even have to ask for these items.

I play at 5 or 6 different rooms the only thing I've seen is a key chain from Cunningham's in Vero Beach, Fl.

Yeah...I know. I'm surprised...but...no one's taken me up on this since I posted the thread. Most pool rooms have tshirts. All I want to do is some free (well...next to it...cost of a tshirt) advertising. I'm not trying to acquire a new wardrobe. LOL

I apologize for the delayed post. But I received 4 awesome t-shirts from Craig...and all have been worn numerous times...and have raised numerous questions about his pool room...most of which I couldn't because I haven't been to his room. I was able to say that its owner was an incredible polite, and forthcoming individual who went out of his way to provide me with something promoting our game of pool...giving me both the shirts and covering the shipping. Needless to say...I've ruffled my own pool room's owner by providing three of his regulars shirts from other rooms...and wearing one myself but...he'll live. :p Thanks again Craig!

Hmmmm.... You know what? Your post gave me a GREAT idea. I wanna support pool rooms too. So what I am gonna do, is BUY a t-shirt from Craig (rather than ask for it for free) and I am gonna wear it a bunch to promote them.

Craig, please PM me with your Paypal info, and the cost of the shirts. I looked on your site, but didn't see anything on there about the t-shirts.

Russ

(Never looking for a free ride. I'll support pool rooms with my MONEY as well as wearing their shirt)

Hey Russ... Thanks for chiming in. I'm going to start off by saying I'm a very polite, well spoken individual. I already give a local pool room better than 30 hours of business a week...plus concessions...plus direct people there for tournaments...and have personally introduced NUMEROUS people to the game of pool...who now spend a similar amount of time in this pool room. I ASKED for the shirts...to do some ADVERTISING FOR THE GAME. I'm not making any money on this. All I'm doing is putting the shirt on my back...and advertising. I will GLADLY pay Craig...if he would like me to...or send the shirts back if in hindsight, he feels that what I'm doing is selfish, or in MY best interests only. Craig was nice enough to help me. In fact...he's the only individual here that has...and I'm grateful for that.

I've never had anyone on this site acuse me of having character issues. If you want to be the first...that's on you.

In the future...if you don't care for one of my ideas...please try and attack the thought process...not my character. I don't deserve it.

Two Derby City Classics ago I gave away some shirts to people that entered the raffle in order to help out Timberly in getting the ball rolling. I had quite a few comments about all my alterior motives in that act of charity. I also donated over $500 worth of pool/ dart accessories, shirts, hoodies and even some pool related jewelry that I made. I guess donating all that stuff for the AZBilliards room got some people upset. That was never my motive.

Hayden never asked me for the shirts. I volunteered them on a thread where he talked about his pool room not ever making shirts up. I am not a big fan of giving things away to people who ask for it. I just think that is begging. Hayden was polite and grateful and I was glad to do it. I also sent one shirt to Manwon since he speaks Korean and our new shirts are for our Korean Billiard players. My motives were to demonstrate to the room Hayden plays in that shirts are a great advertisement and that players will advertise FOR you when given the chance. I think our best marketing and advertising plans currently are tee shirts and MySpace for economic and effective marketing.
PoolhallMaven (Tracy) and I have traded shirts and I wear HERS while I am working in my pool room. My personal belief is that this creates commerce and awareness of pool rooms when people travel and in the long run will help our sport grow. It also makes friends across the miles.

Russ Chewning:::: if your pool room sells shirts buy me an XL and I will trade you one of my shirts in the size of your choice. I am not set up for online sales or I would just sell it outright. I sell our shirts for $10 that cost me $9.68 so money is not the issue. Give me your size (Hayden got my last one over 2X) and I will get one out to you. No alterior motives here, !

Hey Craig...

Let me know when you get some more 2XL's. All my friends come in king size...and that longsleeved black tshirt I wore...well...they all want one. :-p So...whatever the cost is...let me know and I'll take some more of those. Thanks a ton...once again, boss.

I'm Medium. But if everyone answers with a price, I might buy one AND give them free (come'on this is America) advertising.
No I really mean it I might buy your T-shirt. And if I do you might see it on some pretty girl I give it to. Now THAT'S advertising.

Cueandcushion,

It's easy.. just go to www.paypal.com, and you'll probably be set up to accept payments within the hour. I am currently in Baghdad, so there are no local rooms. I'll gladly pay $30.00 for two 2XLs though. Do you have any pictures, though?

If you don't have Paypal (which i STRONGLY recommend you get, as it is free money if you put the items you have up for retail sale in your business on the web, as well..) then just put me in contact with someone on here who does, who is a local.

Seriously... A lot of people are leaving a LOT of money on the table if they are not using the internet as a revenue source...

Russ
