I won my first titel :D

great win

Sounds like you were the best player in your pool.

Congradulations!

Hats off bro :-)

I know exactly how you feel Solly- if you ve played so many tournaments-and never got it into the finals there s coming always one day where it makes *click* in your head... and it happened now to yours, too

I m happy for your my friend- keep playin with the same fun you used to play,

always a smooth stroke,

Hm, usualy i feel sometimes strange to write about *own abilities* but after reading yours...almost the same happened to me on my first 2 tournaments after a long, long time :p

ooooh :) thanks everyone for the nice reply's and support.

i also have to thank the wife for the nice welcome home, with a big bottle of champaign ready to do some celebration dances in the middle of the livingroom :D

to answer the question: YES victory tasted sweet !!
the next morning i woke up, first thing i did was to check the trophy was there to be sure it wasn't just a good dream :p silly me.

to put my feet back to the ground, 1 day after the victory i played my worst pool again. i know what my problem is (mechanical problem), but i can't find a permanent solution for it (YET!), working hard on it (for almost a year now). once that glitch is gone, i know i'll be more consistent, and thats the only thing that stands between me and more victory's.

ps: if i can't find a permanent solution before this summer, i'll invest the $$ of the tittle to pay for a snooker-instructor. I think thats where my earnings belong. Don't spend it on alcohol, spend it on your game!
to bad there are no pool-instructors in my country.

back to the drawing board.
no pain, no gain :D

It's great to see people win that don't expect to win. It's a much better story when it comes from the heart.

The first step it takes to win a tournament, is paying your entry fee. After that anything can happen.

You're so right Tom. Anything can and does happen in a pool tournament.

Some people are simply sitting on the sidelines and DEPRIVING themselves of some of the best memories that pool has to offer.

Congrats :) Thanks for sharing your experience. This is one experience you can draw from in your future tournaments; get into that groove and see yourself winning again and again.
