Id on a 2x2 case? Possible O'Neil or a Palmer?

I found this case while cleaning up and am curious about the maker. It has extra corner ss hardware and is well made. The inner compartment has a shell cover. The carry handle looks like a Palmer/O'Neil case. TIA for any information, folks!

I've had some actual O'Neil cases,they are marked with a tag. The Palmer logo was painted on there,most guys removed them when they started to wear. Btw,O'Neil made all of the cases for Palmer. Thanks for your information.

Palmer cue cases were not made by O’Neil - at least on the 60s and 70s they were made by a company in Brooklyn NY called Fine Brothers.
 
That's good to know. By the hardware and handle on this case it's a later one,'80's to mid nineties. The earlier one's had round locks. I don't have lock ppictures of the early ones,sorry.

Yes it looks like the earlier version. Google the Palmer Collector, he has a great site on Palmer cues,cases etc. You have a nice case. Or contact mikemosconie on here about it.
 
Tweed O'Neils are easy. They had optioned the black leather tops as well. Here are two O'Neils, both 1x2 with the long internal compartment. The top case has leather pulls to open the lid on the inside.
FTR I have never seen a black stitch O'Neil case. I am not saying they did not do it, but like the tweed, the white thread and oval latches are a give away.

Found this O’Neil online. I know you don’t have a 4x8 but the double bands on the corners are there
