Yes it looks like the earlier version. Google the Palmer Collector, he has a great site on Palmer cues,cases etc. You have a nice case. Or contact mikemosconie on here about it.I was told this is an old O'Neil. it has a cover over an inner compartment

Yep I think it said 1389 O’NeilThat is my pic.. I was looking to post it but could not find it.I think the bigger cases received the extra latch (center) and reinforced corners.
