I have one. Traded into it in 91 or 92 at cue club in begas with someone on the rail.

Not a schmelke

I can’t recall who made them, I once knew but forgot. Seems like I remember they came out of San Diego.

I saw a few around in the very early 90’s. I kept mine, still have it. Doesn’t hit very good, but I thought it looked cool and I wasn’t in it much $. So I decided to keep it.

Let me think about this longer. Hmmmm

Cue club had a for sale sign up a while back, haven't been there to see if they are gone.
Thanks for checking, I played it today at mickeys, it wasn't terrible but I'm not a snooker player so don't know what it should feel like. Has a little lift in the middle section.

It’s a odd feeling cue. I tried it for snooker-on a proper snooker table, didn’t work. Didn’t work for pool.

I really like how it looks, it was very well made.

Thinking more about it, as I recall the guy who made them passed away-I think I recall hearing. I carried mine in my case for a few months in Vegas and asked around-back then no internet so I just took it around as it was interesting to me.

Hopefully I can recall more,

Best
Fatboy 😃

One more thing I remember, it always got stuck in my proper case🤯🤯

OP's cue looks like solid wood. I believe the builder in San Diego's pool cues were all 'laminated' and had slim 10mm ish shafts. His handles were sculptured and the cues were coveted and not cheap back then and now when they pop up. Spacing on builders name. Just did a quick search with no luck. Believe he passed a few years back and hos Son was trting to keep it together.

I know someone who has a unique 3 piece he made for him witha custom little case. He played Snooker overseas allot in travel. Perfect for traveling. I hit some balls with it and it was real solid and heavy from all that glue.

Good luck,
kat

The shaft sections and the grip are green laminate, the forearm and butt sleeve are brown laminate, the final shaft section is 11mm almost the whole way and a short taper to 11.95mm at the joint. Thanks for the help.

No problem...Ok so my eyes are going bad or I can blame it on the photo angle ? Not solid wood LoL. Looking at closer shaft looks laminated butt does not to me, what looks like brass with that long pin, mixed colors reminds me of the 3 pc complete laminated cue. I have seen one or two over the years after I saw the first one. The way you describe it now it probably is one of his. Just need to find out who built it...

Cheers,

The guy that took the pics is no genius and a bit of a troublemaker.
