Ideal balance in stance

Is there an ideal balance.

For example: .. forward weighted-bridge hand is/feels heavy into the cloth?

...neutral weighted, evenly balanced on front and rear legs?

....rear weighted, 'sitting on rear hip/leg??

Matter? why? Vary with shot/stroke type?

...any balance method aid in staying down, or jumping up?

thanks

...oh, and does forearm on table change the answer, or is part of answer?

Staying Down:
Bill what I do is to see the QB make contact with the OB and sometimes even after that I don't move and watch the path that the QB takes after contact before raising up. Maybe its old age and I can't raise up without a lot of effort. :)

sitting on rear hip/leg:

I do whats called sit down on the rear hip/leg. It firmly puts me into the stance and keeps my body out of the shot. I call it "sitting down on the shot"

To stay down just send the cue ball with your eyes, not your head

Watch object ball disappear, shift eyes to cue ball and send it., not the head.
Do the same for safety play, use eye shifts, not the head.
It's that simple.
