I also play VNEA how do you get an 11??? 10 is perfect. 1 point per ball 3 for the 8 how do you get 11?
I don't know when or why they added the 10.5 and 11 category. It was to create even more distance between the lower and upper players I guess. At first there was only 5 11's now there are about 20. Essentially we would all be given a 10 hcp anywhere else.

sorry for multiple posts

I have a VNEA 9 average and the opposition is good enough that some games you don't get to shoot. he breaks and runs and you have to eat a 10-0 loss. how can you maintain a 10 against solid competition? much less be better than perfect?
Here we work on a fixed hcp rather than a floating one. This eliminates any form of sandbagging. It is also used to create restrictions for team entries and individual entries to singles events.

Last night was my first night playing BCA, since I moved to southern OR. Met some very nice people here. I finally unpacked my cue which has been dormant for a couple months. :p They rated me a 9. Not sure what that means. When I played APA about 10 years ago, I was a 7 in 8ball.
Glad to hear you are feeling better! It is great to have you and Mike down here in Southern Oregon. Looking forward to playing pool with both of you.
