If you were Mike Sigel, who would you choose to be your opponent?

Reyes, because Sigel has a winning percentage against him after them having played each other quite often back in the mid 80's to early 90's.
 
But that was ages ago, maybe 15 to 20 years. While Efren has kept his winning form (most of the time), you cannot say the same about Sigel. Based on the match I watched between Jones and Sigel, I would say that Efren would have the edge.

If you guys knew Mike as I do,[he's a close personal friend] and a guy who plays back at you with every rack. He's hard to play and beat.

Believe me, he dosen't care who it is, he's ready to PLAY.

Win or loose, he's tough from either side of the board.......

Mike is still one of the best, in the world.

I don't think it matters much. These three stars of the game are in their top form, and Mike will have to bring his very best game to have a chance. Still, despite his rock solid record against Efren, I suspect Mike realizes that, of the three, Efren has, over the years, shown the greatest capcity to find his best game in the late stages of big events.

As a fan, I hope it will be Sigel - Reyes. Could we ask for anything more than a match between the players whom I believe to be the two best of the post-Mosconi era? This event is delivering the goods, buidling to what I'm suire will be a great climax.
 
Is it going to be the same format as the Jones/Sigel in the final. Race to 9, best 2 of 3 sets?

I think there is first supposed to be a qualifying match between Sigel and the player who reaches the finals. The winner of the qualifying match then plays Sigel to see who gets to play Sigel in the finals. So if Sigel wins the qualifier, then he is guaranteed to win the tournament. If he loses the qualifier, then the winner of the qualifier plays Sigel to see who gets to play Sigel in the finals. The winner of that match plays Sigel in the finals.

Uh...what? I don't think what you said makes any sense. So the player that reaches the finals has to win 2 consecutive matches against Sigel, while Sigel only plays one match? Please clarify.

I agree, these new IPT rules are very confusing.
