I'm glad

I'm glad I didn't go.

I can tell from the absolute lack of neat stories about any great action matches taking place that this was the Derby to miss.
On the contrary, the reason I did not post any stories was I was too busy absorbing it all in real time. (That and no free internet in the hotel room :) )

You have no idea what you missed. Get back there, you slacker, Jeanette Lee awaits!

H-man,
Sorry to disappoint you, I thought this was the best action event EVER.

The Efren-Van Boening match-up was awesome.

The Lee-Beckley team (Scotch doubles) vs. TJ from Atlanta (one-pocket and banks combined match) - was one of the craziest things I've seen (upstairs, not in TARPit).

After Lee beat another kid from Atlanta (those Atlanta boys seem to like action) spotting him the seven (for huge money), they had a re-match (for huge money) spotting him the 6, making JL break alternately with Beckley, and JL had to make the 8 in a side pocket before shooting the 9. How crazy was that (JL won). I thought that was pretty cool....but you probably see that stuff all the time.....
TJ is from Ohio
