Im looking for a book?????

I read it maybe 13-15yrs ago it was a decent book about a kid whos family owned a pool room and it was based off him learning to play and trying to win a tournamnet to beat another kid he disliked in the pool world very much.

I cant for the life of me remeber the title, but my son recently said he would like to find a book about pool to read and that was the first one that popped in my head as it was geared towards preteens.

I believe the book is called Sticks by Joan Bauer and published by Puffin Books, Apr 1, 2002 - 182 pages

Here's the synopsis of the plot:


Mickey's family owns the neighborhood pool hall, and he's been playing since before he could talk. Seriously though, I'll have to pick a copy of this up in my travels.

I might get this book also, its a short read but sounds nice...........

It is but if i remeber right theres alot of diagrams of pool shots and he talks about his aiming technique a good bit in the book so all you aiming sysrem folks on here might love it lol

it is a good read regardless and it is a fairly short book.
