I'm very proud to say I got a cue that used to be Torbj?rn Blomdahl playing.

A great local pro-carom player both the cue last year at the SLIOT from Mr. Blomdahl himself.

I just bought the cue and very very happy.
I heard Mr Blomdahl selects his shafts very carefully/over 200 to choose shafts/
Indeed the shafts wood is amazing all together with incredible balance and playability.
Good Luck to You Vass!!! :)

Vass, what do you do for a living? You always seem to have some amazing cues.

How come Pretty cues????:)))))

:)))))))))))
I do real estate in Manhattan.
Yes I used to have some very pretty cues.
The thing is the best hitting cues were never the pretty looking :)

Every rule has an exception: my beauties Ginas played amazing.

Wow, Vass. That's some catch. It must have cost you a pretty penny. Just the shafts are probably worth $300+ each and I will buy them from you if you are selling. Yes, Blomdahl (and many other players) are EXTREMELY selective about shaft wood.

Torbjorn used to keep 4 or 5 numbered shafts in his case ranging from stiff to extremely stiff. He would sometimes change his shafts to match the deflection characteristics of the table so that he would have to do less adjusting himself.

I'll keep that in mind Ira.

Although I usually sell any cue I get this particular one is a hard to find and will try to hold it for long.
My 3 cushion game has improved dramatictly since I started playing pool.

Call me when you are about to stop by Masters to play a friendly game.

Greeneyes,

I'm in los angeles and never get to NY. Does Sang Lee still have his room in Queens? Also congrats on a beautiful helmstetter. I also have to agree about the Gina's, I just got a new one this week and LOVE it. Pics here if you wanna take a look:

Are you referring to The Carom Cafe? I went there a couple years back... nice room, the were also a few older 6x12 snooker tables in the back. The website used to have a live feed to a couple of their billiard tables... not sure if it still does, I haven't been to the site in a while.

Yeah, I was talking about the Carom Cafe, I didn't realize Sang had died in 04, I was a very active 3-cushion player from about 1985 to 1998 and had the good fortune of seeing him play a number of times. I called a buddy of mine who told me of his death as well as allen (gold) gilbert who I've played hundreds of games with.

Anyway, thanks for the info.

Joe
