....the world got to see that.
All I got is tears.
All I got is tears.
To me -- he looks like the best U.S. player and it doesn't even look close.
He has great rhythm at the table.
He has a nice smooth cueing action.
He has the belief in his game.
Of course he = Justin Bergman

Of the USA players, Justin and Skyler have both impressed the hell out of me. Despite the pressure and the noise, they're really keeping their cool...
I'm all for Europe but I definitely agree with everything you said. Impressive player and if he manages to keep it going at this rate, I even dare to predict the days of SVB's dominance at the States are counted. His shooting and positional play are superior and his composure better. Great poker face too. His display against Appleton yesterday was world class, he could beat him all night long and quite comfortably. Though it must be said, Appleton is not what it used to be. It's almost 2 years that he's struggling to find form.
Hey remember when a lot of ignorant people said we shouldn't go young.
That the young guys wouldn't be able to handle the pressure, and would fold like a wet playing card?
apologies accepted.
You can count me -- and maybe you were -- among those ignorant people who were and still are opposed to "going young", but that's with a caveat. The caveat is -- I don't like "going young" just for the sake of "going young." Let nature take its course and the young players will find their way onto the team when they earn their place.
Plus who are we considering as young players? There's really only one young player on this year's team -- Skyler, and really he's not even all that young by sporting standards. It's more of a statement of how sad the U.S. professional pool scene is at the moment that we have to consider a 22 year old as young, when the likes of Strickland, Archer, Sigel, Varner, Mizerack, etc., were competing at a very high level by this age. All the other players on the team are clearly not young by any reasonable standard. So I suppose the argument needs to be one of eliminating players that are beyond a certain age and I'm clearly not in favor of that.
Does CoreyDuel all of a sudden look old or what? ChipCompton would rob his no-playin' ass . He actually looks scared up there. Sad to watch.
