You're quite the piece of work, Jake.
First all the IPT naysayers were wrong, when you were all for it.
Now all the IPT hopefuls are wrong, when you're against it.
At least you're consistent!
Scott, Why is your avatar giving everyone the finger?
I hate avatars that keep flashing, makes it hard to read the post.
I believe that I am very consistent. I make my observations and then make my posts based on the facts as I know them.
Yes I liked the IPT. It was the best deal in town for the players. Yes I could see that it was costing KT a lot of money. Yes I had trouble understanding his business plan and how he would make money. I had the hope he could get a TV contract. It did have possibilities. But then slowly I could see it falling apart. First off there was no fan base. They had the best players in the world playing in a contest and they could not draw a crowd. They couldn't get people to attend for a measly $5. Or even for free with a pass from players. So what does that tell you? They have a great product than nobody wants to buy. Of course that is a plan destined to fail.
As far as selling it to Ho I could not understand just what he was selling so that made no sense at all.
Now when the IPT did not pay the players the final bell started to ring.
32 days and no explanation? To me that says dead, dead, dead.
Those are the facts man, nothing but the facts.
I never did, nor will I ever play three card monte or guess where the pea is under the shell because I know that the only time I can win is when the dealer wants me to win. But how many people do you see continuously playing these games and never do understand that fact?
We all knew that KT was the master of the sales pitch but we went along with him until it was time to bail. After all, Mike Sigel did speak highly of the man and everyone can trust Mike, right?
Some people bailed out earlier than others. Some people are still hanging on. Some people are still willing to throw him more money.
It will be interesting to see how many people will pay to play in a qualifier this weekend. Of course they may have signed up months ago and can't cancel.
32 days with no pay.
45 days until Chicago.
