hi, anyhow i feel like the ipt is a speeding train, or better yet we are hewre at the forum, waiting to see if the checks come, and i'm just staying out of the way, it's like exciting what will the ending be?? it's a page turner isn't it? i hope i get my money soon,i'm holding out hope,it could happen, can't it?

Bernie,
If he wants to have an event in Chicago, he will have no choice but to pay you guys before hand. I hope he does. Then it's up to the players to decide if they want to play in Chicago, and possibly go through this same thing all over again.

Good answer Steve!

I think ...

He would have to pay the players, make a surging great announcement about the tour and its future, and have the Chicago payout in escrow and writing to appease everything.

I think you could have stopped after "He would have to pay the players". I doubt that any player that thinks they are capable of making it past the second round would risk losing their tour card or being banned from the IPT as long as the money is paid for Reno before the Chicago tournament.

Is it just me or is there is something just a tad twilight-zoneishly absurd about Bernie posting on a public forum about non payment with a highlighted title trumpeting "I'm staying out of the way !!!!!"?

I want a couple of pints of what you're drinking Bernie...you're a one-off that's for sure:)

You guys amaze me. You still have hope. It's over. The train not only derailed it fell down the cliff and into 100 feet of water.

Yep, this train is dead in the water.

The final announcement will be made when days not paid = days until Chicago.

You're quite the piece of work, Jake.

First all the IPT naysayers were wrong, when you were all for it.

Now all the IPT hopefuls are wrong, when you're against it.

At least you're consistent! :D

I like the IPT. I watch it and stuff and find it entertaining and like the ideas they throw out there. I am disppointed by the check thing though and boy would I like to be a fly on the wall of the next players meeting.

Scott, Why is your avatar giving everyone the finger?

I hate avatars that keep flashing, makes it hard to read the post.

I believe that I am very consistent. I make my observations and then make my posts based on the facts as I know them.

Yes I liked the IPT. It was the best deal in town for the players. Yes I could see that it was costing KT a lot of money. Yes I had trouble understanding his business plan and how he would make money. I had the hope he could get a TV contract. It did have possibilities. But then slowly I could see it falling apart. First off there was no fan base. They had the best players in the world playing in a contest and they could not draw a crowd. They couldn't get people to attend for a measly $5. Or even for free with a pass from players. So what does that tell you? They have a great product than nobody wants to buy. Of course that is a plan destined to fail.

As far as selling it to Ho I could not understand just what he was selling so that made no sense at all.

Now when the IPT did not pay the players the final bell started to ring.

32 days and no explanation? To me that says dead, dead, dead.

Those are the facts man, nothing but the facts.

I never did, nor will I ever play three card monte or guess where the pea is under the shell because I know that the only time I can win is when the dealer wants me to win. But how many people do you see continuously playing these games and never do understand that fact?

We all knew that KT was the master of the sales pitch but we went along with him until it was time to bail. After all, Mike Sigel did speak highly of the man and everyone can trust Mike, right?

Some people bailed out earlier than others. Some people are still hanging on. Some people are still willing to throw him more money.

It will be interesting to see how many people will pay to play in a qualifier this weekend. Of course they may have signed up months ago and can't cancel.

32 days with no pay.

45 days until Chicago.

Yeah right, you can trust Mike to ask you for $20 to sign a cueball. He did and when my friend asked him why he said because that's what he gets.
How many pompous a holes do you know that would do that. Without fans, you are a nobody in this game.
It's nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice. Mike just don't get it. Money means so much to him that morals and integrity are for sale, cheap in my book! I personally don't think he is a very nice person.

I'm not sure this is true in pool. A great player can enter tournaments and cash in without a single fan. You can be a total unknown and win. Since there is not a load of sponsors beating down the door to sponsor players, fan support plays only a small part in the game. As for being nice, well, there is a 5 time US Open champion who comes to mind who doesn't exactly fit that profile. In general, pool is the ideal game for loners.
