In Atlanta/Alpharetta where do I find:
1) the best 9 foot tables ?
2) the best pool rates with decent 9 footers?
3) the safest place to play without a bunch of kids or bangers.
4) the cheap action like $20 sets?

Not looking for th hip hop / rap crowd. Just wanna play on some good equipment and match up without worrying about my safety. I'll likely be out alone.

Thanks for any input.

The better rooms in Atlanta are
1. The Pool Room in Duluth(exit 102 off of I-85, I think)
2. Marietta Billiard Club in Marietta(bit of a drive from Alpharetta)
3. Mr. Cues II on Chamblee Tucker Rd (basically the North intersection of I-285 and I-85)

I would highly recommend The Pool Room in Duluth, as it is close, has the best equipment, and is just overall one of the best rooms I have ever been in. Mr Cues is about the same distance, but is inferior in pretty much every category.
There is a couple of places in Roswell that would be 5-10 minutes closer, but from your post I would recommend just going to the Pool Room. Hope this helps.

I appreciate the heads up from both of you. I was a little familiar with Mr. Qs fom their online ads and might hit their Fri nite 9 ball tourney. But sounds like the Pool Room is gonna be the room to give most of my business. Thanks a lot for the info.

Just to warn you. The Friday night tourney is a C and D only affair. If you can play, it might not be the best idea, since they will kick you out, or not let you play regardless. Having said that, have fun, and best of luck!

i'd pass on mazzys, if you're looking for quality tables. it's the pool room, Q's and marietta billiard club. side pocket ain't bad but it's far if you're staying in alpharetta. you can get action in most of the rooms mentioned. amen to the blue felted gcV monster @ the pool room. the best, tightest table you'll find around here. pool room also has good food, decent service and decent looking women. these three rooms also have decent crowds. not too young not too old. any place you'll have a few jackassy kids but nothing bad. these places don't let that s*it go unchecked. if you're willing to play cheap (i.e. 20dollar sets) let me know. i am only a c player but i'll go a few rounds for the hell of it. i can play 8,9,10 and just started playing one hole. i am in the alpharetta area so let me know if you need directions to any of the places mentioned i can help get ya there.
