Pete is currently building me cue and the way he has tied together the veneers for the long points and short points is truly amazing! As good as anything I've ever seen. Our plan is to do fancy veneered boxes in the butt sleeve that will be just as impressive.

I can't wait to see the final product..........

I'm a fan....

I'm impressed . I wouldn't expect less than a cue like this to be included in your collection. This one will be a keeper, Pete's at the top of his craft.

Oh my... that is phenomenal veneer work.

Are the long points going to be bridged? That would be perfect!

That is such a beauty! Seeing how his veneers connect perfectly is just amazing.
I'm also expecting a fancy Tonkin and I'm patiently waiting for mine :)

Wow!!!

Those are some really cool veneers, and the colors are killer. Congrats on getting your new Tonkin built.

thats a great looking design, don't kill it with useless inlays please, thats flawless craftmanship.

That craftsmanship is INSANE. Gets my vote for 2014 cue of the year. Hands down.

This is exactly what I told Pete. We had planned on several ivory inlays, but after seeing the forearm, I thought it would just bog the cue down. I think the butt sleeve is gonna be just as special.

I don't know... some Abalone inlays bordered with ivory would look pretty cool with those veneer colors.

Insane. I wonder if anyone has ever done curved veneers? Could you make the wood wet and shape it to fit slots? I am a big fan of curved wood furniture and I think it should be possible with veneers.
