In the market for a new break tip?

^ I really like the idea of testing velocity/compression rates and comparing the tips by those results  Would make a good read for sure. Maybe Chris sees this and tackles it on?

I do agree on the Taom wearing down like butter if you break in to the cloth like Sigel does. I changed my 8&10ball breaking technique a bit in that regard when I got the Diamond at home. Not to save the tip but to save the cloth :)

Yeah...Like imagine you are a girl that breaks 16mph...you're going to want the tip whose compression and coefficient of restitution matches that range of speed. I break anywhere from 15-16 up to maybe 26. So for me the optimal tip might be optimized for like 23mph.

Of course, it would interact with your cue...and every cue is going to have its own set of variables. It would probably be pretty tough to calculate all that out, but could be interesting info.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I decided to tryout a new tip coming on the market made by on-tips.com

I will let you know what I think after installing and hitting a few racks. I also ordered some of their chalk with the 20% discount through 12/25 for $27 and some change.

Did you get the Cyborg break tip? Have you had it installed yet? What do you think?

I just installed the new cell cyborg break/jump tip on my lomax and I love it! It lumps with ease and control.

yes, i put one on the lomax jump cue and also put one on my break cue, so far I really like it better than the samsara i took off.
