Hi. I’m in DC through next Friday and am hoping that someone will be willing to hook up to play one evening, or Sunday late afternoon. I’m in navy yard with no car but I do have a transit pass. I’ll be
Moving here so hoping to find an home room. I’m only interested in a “players” room. I don’t gamble. Thanks.

You need a pool room near a metro line and Im way out of the loop, sorry.

DC has no "real" pool rooms. Just yup spots with loud music and multiple TVs blaring.

Virginia is the closest place with "real" pool rooms, but you need a car.

Gaithersburg, MD had 7 Billiards, which may be near the Shady Grove Metro line, but I'm not sure if they're still open.

Quball1 Billiards in Capitol Heights, MD is a "real" pool room, but again, you need a car. In my opinion, this is the best "real" pool room left in the entire Metropolitican DC area. https://www.quball1.com/

There's a 8 ball / 9 ball tournament on Saturday evenings at Triple Nines in Elkridge, MD, on U. S. 1 North. 9 ft. tables, $25.00 entry fee, free practice time beginning at 6:00 for tournament players, and a mix of participants ranging from cushion beaters to low 700 Fargo. There are probably buses that run up U. S. 1, but you may need to bum a ride.

Ok does anyone want to meet up this evening somewhere? I don’t mind taking an Uber as long as it’s not crazy far.

Inside DC proper Bedrock Billiards is your best bet. Five 9ft gold crown tables and they get a decent number of serious players there. But the proper pool halls are all a drive away unfortunately.

Anthony Melanesi of AM cues (and Black Boar) is setting up a members only room in Springfield.
There is also Street Lights Billiards in Alexander that used to bring in some big names, but I have heard some unfavorable things about them lately

Good Luck.
