...what percentage of them have come to you (in your opinion) exactly as described?
I had been looking for an old Mali cue and was very excited recently to win one in an eBay auction. Unfortunately, though, when it came my excitement became disappointment. The cue was listed as being straight with both the butt and shaft apart and a slight taper roll when together. Well, the butt ended up being warped in to spots (in the handle and at the joint) and the shaft has a definite wobble. This is magnified when the cue is together.
The seller also listed the tip diameter as 13mm and it is 12.2mm.
Now, I'm going through this big mess of trying to get either a full or partial refund from the seller. After a week of messages back and forth I have now opened a case through eBay, although I'm not holding my breath on anything.
The whole process has been very upsetting. I hate to feel that you can't trust individuals to be honest. I'm not sure how I feel about buying on-line again. I'm sure I will, but I'll be a lot more thorough (and specific) with my questions next time. I will also pay using my credit card when using Paypal from now on as well. I did a bank transfer just because I like dealing with cash I actually have. If I had used a credit card this wouldn't even be an issue as far as getting a refund because the credit card company would have taken care of it. Lesson learned.
So, how many of your on-line purchases have garnered you a cue from the seller in the exact condition stated?
Thanks,
J.
