in your opinion, who has the fastest break in the business?

Again ....

The fastest break on record (measured and recorded) was George Breedlove at a little over 38 mph, I believe 38.3 mph. His next 2 breaks were 33 and 31 something.

Until someone actually measures a faster break, that is the record.

There is this one guy who occasionally comes into Hollywood Billiards down here in South Florida. Can't play very well at all but WOW what a break. His name eludes me, maybe some of the South Florida guys know him. Shorter, kinda pudgy and plays like B player speed tops. I think he's a 5 on the handicap system down here. He has a top pro level break thats for sure. its funny how that can happen, that a terrible player can consistently execute one of the hardest shots in pool at top pro speed but then can't draw his rock to save his life.

If he's short, pudgy, cocky, with a mustache and likes to bet high, it's probably Robbie from Lakeland. He does have a terrific break.
 
A few more to add to the mix. In the old days it was Wade Crane and David Howard who broke the hardest. Then Danny Medina came along. Jon Kucharo had a massive break, but the all time hardest break I ever heard was a young George Breedlove. That CRACK could hurt your ears for a second.

Most effective break I ever saw was Earls. He knew just how to hit the balls to get maximum results. And he did, rack after rack.
