Indexable Inserts

Some months ago there was a thread regarding a "new" style of insert that pretty much everyone thought was quite good. IIRC Williecue started it but I could be wrong on that point. I have searched for this thread with no success so if someone could spoonfeed me the information I would appreciate it. I have been regrinding HSS tool bits for some time but always seem to have a problem getting a repeatable relief radius on the point of the tool which translates into wildly varying cut quality, especially on near to finish cuts so it's time for a change.

Thanks and Regards,
Stoney

Man you've got a good memory!! September 2008 is more than "some months ago" in my poor memory!!!

Go to the post Joey sent you to and look at the last comment on page 4. I listed correct part numbers and prices for inserts that fit both 1/2 inch square tool holders, and smaller 3/8 inch holders that fit the Cuesmith Deluxe with minor modification to the holders.

These are the nuts. I use them on three different lathes from a 7 X 12 to a 13 X 40 for any cuts on wood. By the way, Olson is the person who actually found these. Willee passed the word around.
