Well since I found me some Hoosiers, what are some great billiard parlors around this state that I could have some info on? See, I (somewhat) have plans to move to the midwest and Indiana is in my list. Well, I hope to become a future Hoosier!!
Just don't move to Michigan...

keep an eye out for me at the adam's mark, be there all week. i'll be the guy woofing at you (well, not all of you, but definitely cubswin!).

I meant I might go up to fort wayne. Not going down to Indy. And no need to woof at me. I'll play if the spot is right without any hesitation. Don't have to be talked into it *lol*

That is wrong if you finish in the top 3 I believe you qualify for the tournament of champions. If you don't then you must play a certain number of times at the tourney.
let me clarify even further. the top 3 finishers who haven't already qualified for the tournament of champions. so if you finish 6th and the top 3 finishers have already qualified in previous weeks, you're in the t.o.c.

Portage, Indiana, home of Northside Billiards and The Port Lounge, both of which are long out of business.

The Port was once quite the happening place for pool in the area. Years back it was sold and the new owner removed a number of the tables and changed it over to a band bar. Within a year or two, the owner had some legal and financial problems and closed up shop. Another potential owner had an agreement to buy it and had plans to reopen it as a pool bar, but that deal went south as well. I just heard the other day that the building is going to be converted into a catering business, which will be the first time it has been occupied since the bar went out of business a few years ago.

Northside Billiards has also been gone for several years. I haven't seen or heard of Ronnie "The Hat" Mayes for a few years. I believe he was still living out in Illinois somewhere when he co-owned Northside. He grew up in the neighborhoods of Gary when Gary was a much nicer place than it is today. Anyone know if he's still around the midwest?

Hey do you know Kat?

coonies in logansport (very nice room, just not much action if your looking to gamble)
I was just about to say that haha, I live about an hour away from coonies and have driven over there for some weekly tournaments when I was bored and even on the most busy of nights I rarely saw anyone gambling, it kinda made me sad because I always have a dream of walking in and seeing some people of my level tossing a couple bucks around, but no such luck.

BUT that said it's still a great room, the ownership is real legit and the tables are pretty nice, theyve got mostly bar boxes, a couple nines, and if I remember correctly a snooker table.

As far as the action at airport I really wish I could go, I'm not nearly good enough to play though and I don't even know if they allow under 21 people in as most pool hall's around here don't.

i may head over there to watch some and play a lil, the few times i went it was the out of state players winning a lot of the money, kentucky/illinois/michigan

for places to play lafayette is probably the worst in indiana, purdue is the only place with descent tables but no action and rarely can u find a descent game, lafayette has no 9 foot tables that i know of, everything else is crappy bar tables @ $1 per game, there was a descent weekly alternating tourney going on but now that vnea season is over it'll stop

i'm down around evansville now, princeton has the best place in the state to play pool, Crickett's off the square has 2 10 foot snooker tables, 1 with bigger pockets an pool balls the other with tight pockets an snooker balls, quarter per game per player loser pays, good food at cheap prices, all sorts of players up to semi pro caliber

i don't go out to evansville much but it has a few good places, skye's used to be the place to go for action/tourneys it's now o'brians and mainly a league joint, for action the roundabout is the place to go, usually see some guys playing 1 pocket for a few bucks and there's a few of the top bank pool players in the state, jillians near the casino has some nice tables but probably not much action i'm sure there's other places around town to play
I live in Princeton. My friend Bill owns Crickett's. Some decent players play there.

Yeah, no one gambles there. Going over tonight to play in the wed 9 ball tournament.

I get a little game in there now and then, but its hard to find someone to play.
