I just got back last night and wanted to say congratulations to Brian Gregg and my Team from Muncie{Mixed Nuts}.
Brian played some fabulous 8-ball and won the Masters singles title. I watched the last couple of sets and he played almost flawless from start to finish. Perfect position and I don't recall him ever missing a ball.
As for my team, I couldn't play with them due to me being a Master in Vegas. I kept score and tried to keep them fired up for the week. They ALL played some great pool and I'm very proud of them. They lost their 2nd match and had to win 3 more in the losers bracket to make it to the final chart. Once there, all teams start over with no losses. After winning 3 or 4 matches on the winners side, we lost a tight match by 1 ball. Then winning 5 matches in a row before running into the team that dumped us into the losers side. That match came down to the very last game. My player broke and failed to make a ball, and their guy ran out to beat us again. We finished in 4th place out of somewhere around 490 teams.
Can't wait for next year.
