I realize this question has already been discussed; however, I am unable to locate any information through the search function, here goes. I am looking for an inexpensive carom cue. That is it. I tried the internet without success, so my next step is here. I have never hit a carom shot on a carom table; however, Bruce W. has offered many times. Websites would be good, or any other information. I am in window shopping mode for a for a month or two, because I a high dollar pool cue coming in.

Thanks in advance,

I have some for sale, they are made by Helmstetter. They have the Willie Hoppe logo on them, and they come with two shafts. If interested I will send some photo's. One would cost $295 shipped, and the other would cost $345 shipped.

Thanks guys

Thanks for the input...I will kick this around for awhile, before I purchase..If someone has more infor, please keep it coming..

Schuler

I have a question along the same lines.

I have started playing a little bit of 3 cushion. I know that Schuler makes different shafts that would fit a butt I already have. Are the Schuler shafts good for 3 cushion?

Schuler make very good carom shafts with a wide selection of tapers. Keep in mind that the shaft is not the only difference in carom cues. Most Carom cues are butt heavy, rearward balanced. Most pool cues are forward balanced. But at least you're on the right track with a carom shaft.

As far as Cheap Carom Cues is concerned have someone cut a very light House Cue that doesn't have a pro taper. The best would be a very old cue off the cue rack. These are reasonably stiff shafts and somewhat close to a carom taper. The old wood will not warp. Then have them put a weight bolt for rear balance if needed. You have a cheap carom cue for maybe $50 or $100. Not the best solution but cheap and workable.

I can get you (well lots of people can, but so can I) any number of new or used Longoni cues. You can't really go wrong with any of them, but the more stars they have, the more expensive and high-quality they are. Base models cost $150 brand spanking new, going up to $1000's. Give me a hollar if you'd like one.

p.s. If I recall correctly Jonny Longoni is the new importer for Longoni in the USA, could give him a try aswell.

There is a guy at HOB that is selling inexpensive carom cues for $95 - $120. They are made in China. One of our regular players bought one says it hits very well. I took a couple of shots with it and also think it is very good for the price (which probably can't be beat). If you come by when I am there, I will let you know who to speak with.

If you are looking for a good Carom cue at a decent price, I suggest that you should contact Mazin Shooni as he is working with our brand new Gabriels Carom cue series. Sent me a PM and I will inform you with his contact details !

I would also recomend you a longoni one or two star cue, they play great and you can always upgrade the shaft to a pro shaft, I play with a pro2+.

i have to carom cues for sale but they are not cheap. they're made by a wonderful maker out of belgium named stany buyle. he still makes cues under eSBee Creations. I am not sure how much they cost, his Web site doesn't list prices. You might like them, though.

You've never even taken a shot on a carom table? Just play with your pool cue for a while and see how you like it before investing in a "carom" cue.
