Hey AZ,

I recently acquired these for items from a estate sale in Honolulu Hawaii. It appears the deceased owner of the estate was a lifelong avid billiard collector and personal friends with a lot of old-school pro players. Anyways these are the items I was able to pick up.

I’m just looking for opinions on if there’s any historical significance here, or if these are dime a dozen. What kind of value would you guys put on these items?, just so I know what I have. I don’t plan on selling them anytime soon but I would just like to know.

I obviously know who Willie Mosconi is but don’t know anything about his personal awards and trophy’s. Any info is appreciated.

I'd buy the chair, would go nice with the Gold Crown.
The pictures are nice also.

no great worth there but a nice collection for your wall.
things are worth a couple hundred a piece if you can find a buyer.
the chair is great.

Who is the "we" that awarded Willie that second plaque?
That was dated the same as the last day of the Women's World 9-Ball Open (Loree Jon 1st, Jean Balukas 2nd) which was in Somerset, NJ, not far from where Mosconi lived. It's a possibility.

Ah, that sounds likely. Would that have been a WPBA event? It was rather modest of the presenters to leave their name off the award.

Here is the article from the August 1984 NBN (available in the Gold Mine on the AZB home page). With Charlie Ursitti and Bill Clayton involved, I think it's even more likely that it was this event that presented the second plaque. (World 7-Ball Tournament??)

Thanks, Bob. Loree Jon O-J-H-B at age 18 besting Jean Balukas at a few days short of her 25th birthday. Ahhhhh.....
