Need a new shaft for my Joss cue and would like to get a predator shaft but there a little pricey,Is there a comparable shaft to the predator out there thats more friendly price wise?

OB shafts are less pricier than predators, they're made in the USA, low deflection very similar to that of Predators. They currently have 2 shafts right now, OB-1 which is comparable to the 314 in terms of tip diameter and taper and the OB-2 which is comparable to the Z shaft in taper. Both of these OB shafts new would be cost 199.75 from retailers, While Predator 314 goes for 216, and Z goes for 237.

Theres also Tiger X-Ultra shafts which have a bit more deflection than 314 and OB Cues.

I just got my tiger x ultra shaft back for my Mike Stacy. I love it already but I hated the ob-1 and 314's. The tiger play more like a standard as far as feedback to me with a nice crisp hit. I only paid $95 for a partial so i though it was worth the try and so far after a week i love it

dominak cues has a dominator shaft which is the same construction as a predator they run $149 or so i can't remember i know they are cheaper than predators and they are made in the usa by a great guy. I recently bought one and it plays great!!!

I saw your post about another shaft for your Joss. I also have a Joss and am selling my OB-1 that fits it (5/16 x 14 pin size). It's in fine shape, is straight, and rolls flat. The only flaw I can find is a tiny nick in the ferrule that has to be looked for to find. I'm selling it because I'm using an OB-2 now.

If you'd like it, I'm selling the OB-1 shaft for $100 plus shipping.

Decide on which shaft you want, and then buy it used in the For Sale part of the forum.
