Is this a Danny Stout cue? I bought it from Proficient billiards talked to Scot or whoever runs the auctions there about it he said it was tagged as such, it was from an estate auction. 19 oz with a 19'' balance point 5/16x18 pin and the butt is very straight, Points are very very close to even, it also comes with a Predator 314-2 shaft BC not in the pics. I dont have the individual weight. The stock shaft has a little roll nothing serious the tip does not leave the table @12.47mm below the tip and the Predator is 12.70 mm below the tip. It has some wear but nothing ugly or serious, minimal surface scratches. The Predator shaft has a small finish chip on the joint collar. Dont know what its worth, i guess at this time if interested pm me or if you might have have some info. Thankyou, also willing to trade for something with a Z2 steel joint shaft or??? This cue does hit real good, very firm used it one time and won a tourney. I am taking offers, i've had several pm's asking my price obviously too high so tell me your price...............

could be a danny stout cue....but i am not real sure on this one..

The joint looks similar to a Danny Stout, but from my experience and what I have seen he didn't use the double rings, he used a single ring at his joints.

I have 6 Stout cues . the pin is wrong and the rubber bumper is different also most of his cues have c&c points

Chris (aka: tate on AZ) knows his cues probably better than anyone! He would not lead you astry. If he says it's a Stout, I'm sure it's a Stout. Measure the balance point, it should be 2 1/4 inches above the wrap. GLWS

Unless the shafts were turned down to the 12.47 mm and they weigh less??

I agree, here is a Stout I sold a while back,,,,,,and it had rounded points to boot, though I'm not sure all of them did,,,,,,,Danny made great hitting cues,,,,,,he is missed!

Thanks for the compliment ;) - but it wasn't me he spoke to. Maybe it was Scot? I don't recognize this particular cue.

If the shafts are original size, the balance point should be 2 1/4 inches above wrap.

My post might have come across wrong. What I meant to say was that if he checked and the balance point was not at 2 1/4 inches above the wrap, that wouldn't necessarily mean that it definitely wasn't one of Danny's cues.

Neat story, I obtained a Stout from CJ Wiley about 16 years ago and traded it away about 14 years ago. I was in Dallas at the time, then moved to Louisiana, Houston, and back to Louisiana. I now work between Houston and Lafayette. About 2 weeks ago, I meet one of my friends at a local pool hall in Houston, and he has my old Stout! It was really nice to see it and hit a few balls with it again. Still plays great! I wish he were still here making cues.

cue

Your fine, i appreciate the input and the story is cool too. Its unfortunate that this cue builder is unknown because it is a well built cue. I had a cue builder friend look at it he thought at first the butt was plastic upon a closer look, magnified he said the butt was the tightest grain ebony he has ever seen.
