I hope not.
In the Philippines, pool is a major sport.
They get corporate sponsorship and ESPN Asia/Europe has been very supportive.
Here, the spelling contest and dog show get better coverage.

it's better that you release a public statement of what had transpired during that elimination event and what was originally agreed upon prior to that. to ask explanation why the sudden change of the agreement in the middle of the tourney without consulting the other party, thereby enforcing self-rule to the tourney. to expose Diokno and company for their arrogant behaviour. if you have some video or audio recording, it would be better that you use it as evidence before the GAB committee as to how the agreement was not being implemented.

furthermore, inorder to solve this matter without prejudice, such tourneys should be held on neutral grounds and supervised by a neutral party. not the BSCP nor the BMPAP. as long as the BSCP is incharge of such tourneys, always expect that there would be certain manipulations and move done by certain officials. I wouldn't mind if certain officials get fired, if necessary and to stop this freak show. just expect that there would be a release of quite civil and mild-mannered statements coming from certain officials inorder to save their asses from getting fired. it's time to pull some strings and remove the plug from these people.

That press release link is so full off lies and there were quite a number of witnesses at the venue. Unfortunately for them ,too, there was a GAB representative taking down notes to report to the GAB Chairman and it was top-ranked players who did this injustice to. You know how it is, people in poolhalls give weight to their champions' word against these propagandists. Did they think that this issue will ever die down? Haven't they learned from the Alex Pagulayan sharking accusation controversy?

They are powerless against the GAB and BMPAP when it comes to professional pool and they know it! That is the reason for their stupid actions and statements. We, the BMPAP and GAB, don't understand why they arre still in conflict mode when we have moved-on and started doing events and programs for the progress of the sport and its participants.
Here's another one of our projects in the works:

My take on this whole Guiness thing & all the bickering and What Ever else,...

The Filipino people are the Real Losers, as their best players like Efren & Busta have been asked to boycott (again more politics #$%@*)

The Taiwanese players have been laughing all the way to the bank

OOOOOH, the Taiwanese players are going to be mad at you for generalizing. Your statement is a product of your ignorancee and I'm sure your players won't appreciate it. FYI, Efren and Django need not boycott the Guinness Tour, they just can't play in it because of being San Miguel Beer ENDORSERS! Maybe you thought Guinness will let them wear their San Miguel Beer patches in the Guinness Tour????? :)

Didn't the Taiwanese plalyer win all the leg last year, and the 1st leg this year ? So Why will they be mad ?

My players ?????
Pare (Friend), I'm a pinoy. So Who are my players ?
I'm just disappointed that my 2 favorite pool players from the Phil could not participate.

Isn't this the same as "boycott", as their sponsor asked them not to play ?

Efren and Busty are San Mig endorsers. eventhough if they were invited to play in a qualifying tournament for the Guinness Tour, they would not be allowed due to their contract with San Mig. Guinness on the otherhand, knows this and would not allow another beer company (competition) to endorse their product in their event. that would be illogical.

Although I agree to what you're saying that the Filipino People are at a loss of what is happening (sports politics), the Taiwanese statement was unnecessary to mention. you might catch some people's attention here and get some fire in return.

Apparently, based on your above reply, you're aware that I assumed that you're Taiwanese and I apologize to you and them.

No, there's such a thing as "contractual obligation".

Now you're getting it!

I understand your frustration but if we, BMPAP, don't act on correcting the deficiencies of the past 21 years then you'll be more frustrated in the coming years. Remember what happened to Philippine basketball's Asian dominance?

Thank you HMS. You sure can explain it simple and easily understandable. I apologise for still being in an aggressive mode. Just too protective, i guess.
