one of the best cue builders in the country is using one just like this. He sells his cues in the range from $2000-$15000. He does not use any CNC machines. Does all of his inlay work with a Gorton pantograph. His cues are a true custom built cue.
If it's the guy I'm thinking of, his pantograph patterns are CNC cut - making the distinction a pretty fine line I'd say.
And, out of curiosity, are you suggesting that a cue built using CNC will not (or cannot) be "a true custom built cue"? Surely you can't be fool enough to think the use of CNC is the dividing line between "custom" and "non-custom" cues... can you?
