instructor in los angeles

hi everyone,

I'm new to pool and to the forums. I'm looking for an instructor in los angeles and trying to search here did not produce anything meaningful and not outdated. so i'm looking forward to hear from instructors in the area or if there's info on the forums already that I've missed I'd be grateful if someone would point me in the right direction. if these fourms are not the best place to look for an instructor I'd appreciate any other sites/forums/etc. I just started looking into the game and I'm rather ignorant about pool resources at this point

Alexey...There are many expert players in the L.A. area that give lessons. However, that said, I would seek somebody who uses video analysis as part of their teaching methods (it's okay to ask them if they use video). If you do find someone, and they start trying to teach you "shots" and position, instead of focusing strictly on stroke and fundamentals first...find someone else. Worst case scenario, I will be back in Los Angeles in July (too bad you didn't post earlier...I was in LA teaching for 10 days last December). Check out this site: www.playbetterbilliards.com
