Any tips on what technique is best to achieve consistency when threading capped ferrules?
Since there is no thread dial, it`s hard to cut exactly the same grove every time and cutting in one pass seems to be asking alot from those carbide cutting tools that comes with the Dremel Chris sells.
I need to thread some G10 and canvas phenolic, both pretty tough materials.
Also I`m having problems with the powerfeed, especially when going in reverse, any tips and tricks?

Use a tap............. I never have a problem.............

Yes, but that kinda defeats the purpose of thread milling on the lathe...
The Mezz shaft I`m changing ferrule on has a 10.2mm tennon, so is there such a thing as a .4016" x 18 tpi tap?

Have you emailed Chris about it? He is usually very friendly in emails and always supportive of the equipment he sells. I'll bet he knows the answer to your problem.

Id call Chris, he always will take time to answer questions about his equipment. I picked his brain many years ago and his knowledge is invaluable.
