International Open

Justin rattles the 8 in the corner, but it falls and he gets out to get on the hill up 10-8.

Justin pushes out, and Ko tries a long thin cut on the 2 and misses it, leaving an easy shot for Justin. Justin has a chance to take the match.

Justin goes forward off the 4, running into the 7 and hooking himself on the 5. I think the shot there was to draw off the 7.

Justin kicks and hits the 5, leaves the cueball almost frozen on the 9. I don't think Ko can make the 5.

Justin makes the 7, draws the cueball straight back off the cushion for the 8 in the upper corner.

Good for Justin Bergman. Sounds like both guys were tired and not at their best. It's so hard to play match after match all day (and night) and continue to play well. Endurance, both physically and mentally, is so important to be a top player. That's why you see so many players into physical fitness these days.

I think Justin's mental toughness from all his long gambling sessions helped him endure in this match, which finished after 2 AM local time. Now he needs to get some rest and go back at it in less than ten hours. Final four now. Team Bergman vs. Team Europe! Now, wouldn't that be something!

I slept the announcement of the stream starting time tomorrow (today). Anyone hear it?

Justin makes the 9 and takes the match!

Nice win for him.
Back to the kick... I see players measuring banks and long 1 rail kicks. Then they take the kicks to pocket a ball for granted. Such an easy shot to hit accurately when the angle is 30 degrees or less.
