International Open

wow Jayson woke up and surging
Makes nice 1 combo and runs out to get on hill 10-9 Jayson

Wow, Jayson makes it look so easy sometimes. The last few racks looked effortless. In the ruslan thread we had a discussion on what defines a straight shooter. If this match goes to the accu stats streaming site, I would just say, the last 4 racks defined “straight-shooting”

I still like watching Justin, and haven’t seen him go deep in a big tournament in a while. Love the new sunken-wood shaft, looks like it plays as solid as his game.

So the current most in form American player will not get a chance to represent this country at the upcoming Mosconi Cup!

I guess no one gonna talk about where it’s 9-6 Justin and Jayson misses cross side bank and lucks it in and runs out and eventually wins the set! If he don’t luck that ball he probably loses the match!! Plays great but definitely got lucky too win from that spot!

I actually missed the shot you are referring too, but in the post match interview, Jason mentioned how Justin slopped in a couple balls early in the set.

IMO ... There should be a "Pro 9B Game" (ie call pocket -like 10B/plus last ball 9B-ie no early out) where "100% intended pocketed Skill" is rewarded as the best player.. Texas express rules has killed 9B as a measure of the best player in any event.

As it stands for 9B events, sponsors, die hard spectators and avid Poolplayers can't get invested (time and Money) in a game that a coin toss enters in as fate at any point in a match.....again IMO... but keep beat the drum maybe someday the higher powers might invest in what's best for the pool industry and fix the 9B 'game structure' to be better respected. Pool players and industry investors should demand the fix and watch pool flourish.

I know the other argument about 9B being a luck game and that that appeals to a certain demographic BUT I still want to see the best player get credit for their efforts (not the fluke).

Did he really?

I swear, only Jayson Shaw could win a match and find something to complain about.

They shouldn't even allow people in/out of tv arena during a game. Make the inconsiderate pr^*ks sit outside.

"Hannibal's" cue...??

Anybody know what cue Lechner uses? Looks like a full 13mm with a long ferrule.

Jayson was explaining to Ra how he was fading being down early, in the same sentence he also mentioned how well Justin was playing for him to be down at that point. So he was saying Justin playing well and getting a few breaks is why the early lead, I didn't see it as complaining, this time.

Cheers,

I believe he is in the Predator pro-team and had been playing with a Revo for quite time and this particular event is the first I see him switching back to his old playing shaft I quess. It could be Vantage or 314 I don't know for sure but does it really matter?
I'm a strong believer this is the ability to perform and win under pressure in the first place what makes the champions).

Filler makes great shot from 3 for position on 4. Filler 4-2

Wasn't really complaining but Jayson did say Justin had "couple of flukes".

Just curious. I'm WELL AWARE cue doesn't matter. I've been told its a Vollmer by multiple people. Pred. cues don't use ferrules that long.

Max ties it 4-4
Go go MadMax :D
