Interview with Jose Amang Parica!

Anito Kid:

Thank you so much for pointing us to this gem.

Without any doubt, Jose belongs in the HOF.

His best friend seen in this clip, Larry Ross, and I spent some time swapping war stories at this years SBE while watching Earl's unfortunate meltdown during his match with Alex.

Larry is a very wise and interesting man who probably has enough great stories, that he should write a book.

Jose is one of my all time favorites and this interview was truly enjoyable to watch.

Hats off to Jim Murnak for another terrific video.

Best,

Thanks, Brian!

I sure wish that Amang will get to visit the Pool Capital of the World
once again - and hopes Larry comes along with him!

With regard to:

"Larry is a very wise and interesting man who probably has enough great stories, that he should write a book."

I believe you! And I kid you not! As I was listening to Larry telling
2-3 stories about him and Amang, I could just feel myself being
with them in the story! Really awesome!

P.S.

I remember meeting Amang's son here at a poker club in
Makati City 1-2 years ago.

Amang's son showed me a ton of respect when he learned
from his friends my passion for billiards. He said my name,
and told me, in front of everyone, that he knows me
from my site and all, and he wanted to shake my hand.

I said, "No! Please allow me the honor! Allow me to shake
the hands of the son of the GREAT JOSE AMANG PARICA
- Leader of the Filipino Invasion!

We shared stories about his dad and everything related to pool.
WOW! 'Twas really one memorable experience!

This past summer 2011, i tried to get in touch with Amang's son
for some very good news i worked our for his dad. All Amang needed
to do was step on a plane and be here!

However, a friend of mine told me that Amang's son moved
to the states already. I couldn't believed it! Every player I knew
who I could ask to relay a message or two to Amang was in the
Philippines! I had no way of contacting Amang! I really had great news
for Amang at that point in time! :(

I read an article when he was asked what's the biggest difference between amateurs an pros? He said pros don't miss easy shots.

@Spantiznik: You're welcome, buddy!

@Skip:

And I kid you not!
