Just wanted to introduce myself being that I'm new to the forum and all...

I'm a US Soldier stationed in Germany, but currently deployed to Afghanistan. I haven't seriously shot pool in about 10 years (I used to shoot A LOT before getting married), but here at my base they have a weekly 8-ball tournament (much rather play 9-ball or straight pool) that got me hooked again. I've been here about 9 weeks so far and have won 5 tournaments...not too bad for laying off the game for almost 10 years. LOL Decided to invest in a cue...I used to shoot with a Joss, but decided to try the Luchasi L-E28. Not a bad cue at all. Feels good to get back into it.

My other "loves" are my family, motorcycles and tattoos. Just wanted to say "Hey" to everybody....
 
Hi, welcome. It's nice to see new people arriving.

Seems to be quite common among soldiers/former soldiers have same list of interests.
 
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, that is probably a very accurate statement about soldiers and interests. LOL

Well, as a former AF MP i know something about something. Nice ride you have...hey, go and take a look on that harley thread on Non Pool Related section, nice pics also in there.

I play with a Lucasi LE-27.....excelent cues IMHO, and I've had them all!:D

Welcome to our world, Vanilla Gorilla. I like the fact that you rhyme with Magilla Gorilla, which was one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid.

I appreciate the fact that the freedoms that so many of us enjoy are, in many ways, traceable to the efforts of brave soldiers like yourself, and I salute you for serving your country.
