I will be there for the weekend, and would like to get out and hit some balls Fri. or Sat. night. Can anybody tell me which place has the best equipment in I.C.? I'm also needing a new tip, so if there's a place with a pro-shop, that might be the decider. Thanks a bunch.

You won't find much to choose from in IC (I know a few things about the twon...see my avatar). Certainly no pro shops. I moved away long ago otherwise I'd meet up with you.

The Que (211 Iowa Ave) has 8' tables in various states of disrepair. Never could get any action in there.

The Memorial Union used to have nicely maintained 9' Brunswicks but those are long gone.

It looks like College Street Billiards Club (114 E College St) still exists, but it had funky red cloth the last time I was there.

You'll find a bartable everywhere you go because its a college town and bars are everywhere.

Dang, so I guess the quad cities area would be the nearest place with a nice pool hall? I don't guess Muscatine has anything either? This place is sounding a lot like home, lol.

The quad cities has two nice places to play. Miller Time Billiards (2902 East Kimberly, Davenport, IA) and Leisure Time Billiards (845 42nd Ave, East Moline, IL).

Miller Time is holding an ACS/McDermott 8B tour event on Saturday (Oct. 14). Call Terry at (563) 359-7225 for any information. I'll be there...

Miller Time is a good place to go. Might run into Little Joe there. If you'd like a lesson he'll be there quick. If you can play maybe the same Responce.
