NOT clueless. They are hyping the prize in order to increase qualifier turnout.

I NEVER considered $ won but not recvd as earned.

Wonder what the list looks like when you back out the AIR?

What is the ACTUAL "PAID OUT"? I THINK Thorsten got MOST of his amount.

Does this included the KOTH?

To answer the question from FLEECE the above list shows in brackets the amounts actually paid out so far to the top 50 players,assuming they've all now been paid for Las Vegas and assuming none have been paid for Reno.Both columns take no account of individuals tax status/arrangements.

Obviously the above columns do not include KOTH prize money as that was not part of the 2006 season and is irrelevant to ranking list.

It's ARROGANCE & SCAM. "People" that are as arrogant as the "people" we're talking about have no remorse or care for others. It's all about them. Since Reno the IPT has brought in over $525,000 from qualifiers & memberships. IMO, this is where the scam comes in. I've not said as others have said in the past that the IPT was a scam because for all intents and purposes, it wasn't...until now. The tour card holders were not scammed into joining. It cost them travel expenses that did not go back into the IPT (except for maybe hotel kickbacks if players stayed at the host hotel)

Until proven otherwise, I think the IPT died when the Reno event ended. IMO anything they do to take in money after Reno is a SCAM unless the tour somehow does continue.

They've let staff members go, canc-postponed a tournament, "communicated" in the most pathetic way possible, and have not given any solid answer to any future tournaments or the future of the IPT itself. Mr. Kevin "I don't know" Tru-dough has done one thing consistently.... hold qualifiers.

Some of the people playing in the qualifiers are aware of the current situation but I would venture a guess that the majority do not. When you look at the numbers, the ones held in the states average 2 to 4 players. The ones held overseas have on avg 8 to 10. They have one right now inTokyo that has 11 in it. People on this forum that live overseas, IMO have a responsibility to inform room owners and players of the current situation.
 
They haven't got 525 000 $ from the qualifiers, since many players have free entries and play again and again...

But it is a lot of money, yes
