IPT...biggest upset, performance, cinderella story

Upset ....

I think one of the best wins for an underdog has to go to

Shane Van Boening for beating Thorsten Hohmann 8-3. SVB had 5 B&R's.

(OOPS, DIDN'T SEE LAST FEW POSTS, ANSWERED OFF PAGE 1 .. LOL)

Dallas West with two wins already. He beat Frost and Webb. Still has to play Hundal and Paez though. Lots of players made it thru yesterday with only two wins so I guess I need to root for Dallas. I never thought I'd see the day when I was rooting for anything in sport named Dallas. :D :D

Best performance IMO, Dennis hatch (leads win %)

Please note that some players had a 3-1 record but still had a higher win % than some players who won 4-0.

I like the win% I think it shows who is hot!

Thanks for sorting those, I couldn't find how to do that. I'm loving all the coverage, very exciting!

Ladies first ?

I'm going to speak up for the ladies....

....Excellent performances so far by two ladies....Allison is 3-0, and Sarah Ellerby is 2-1 having beaten David Matlock and Eric Hjorleifson and only losing to Keith Bennett hill-hill - that's pretty strong.

Cinderella Story? How about Vilmos Foldes. Came in third twice in qualifiers and just sqeaked in because of Hall's withdrawl. He then wins his group with 4 wins.

How about Sarah Ellerby and Allison Fisher? Many thought that Allie would make it through but noone really gave Sarah any props. Both came through tough groups.

How about Mike Zimmerman? I bet there weren't a lot of folks who thought he belongs on the IPT other than his closest friends, his wife and the players he demolishes on the west coast :-). He cruised through his group.

And to all the Brits coming out of the woodwork - do you all have an 8-Ball factory over there churning out players? First you dominate the BCA and now you're tearing up the IPT.

The landscape is looking quite interesting.

Oh and the Filipinos - do they ever not play perfect? (Parica excepted). Seriously, what is it going to take for them to lose this tournament.
