IPT Break Tip - Any comments?

My guess is that the guys at Seyberts ordered a bunch of IPT tips back when the gravy train was still chugging along and now they're stuck with a bunch of IPT tips that nobody wants to buy. They offer them as a way to sell them and be done with 'em otherwise the tips are only good for collecting dust. Just a guess.

Why else would a respected pool company such as Seyberts be actively trying to sell IPT branded stuff?

As I mentioned earlier, this tip isn't an "IPT" product. I knew about this tip this before I spoke with Seybert's, but I didn't recall exactly who made it and I'd pretty much forgotten about it.

I actually received a call from Rick at Seybert's Friday afternoon. Apparently this thread had caught someone's attention over there. lol He said if for any reason I was unhappy with the tip, he would change it free of charge. I told him basically thanks, but no. I knew of this tip before it was suggested by one of the folks at Seybert's and that I was going to form my own opinion on it. I knew exactly what I was getting and that's fine, nothing more expected. Seybert's didn't do anything wrong at all.

One thing is likely. Seybert's will probably stop calling it an "IPT" tip. lol

The tip was actually developed by Tiger for Predator to comply with the leather tip only rule for the IPT. So it's a Tiger tip with a bit of a marketing problem. lol

The cue showed up at my door 29 hrs after I ordered it. (Didn't have to pay for shipping) First impression of the tip is that it's much, much softer than I expected, but it's new and I'm going to take it down a little at a time and see what happens. I'll give it a couple weeks to settle in.

Nah, don't sweat it. I don't blame anyone for being suspicious or cynical of anything having anything to do with the IPT.

I was in a rush and I really did a bad job of wording the thread at the start. The IPT deserves all the wisecracks. :rolleyes:

Yeah Janet Lee - AKA the Black Window.

You'll have to forgive my spelling. The only female pool player I know is Allison Finchley.
