I'm assuming you signed up using that little sign-up form at the bottom of the IPT homepage.

What email client are you using? Does your email client normally display HTML emails?

What I suspect is going on is that the IPT server is sending out HTML-only emails, and your email client is looking for the text-only content in it, and not finding it, hence, it appears blank.

(I deal with this sort of stuff every day for a living :/)

I would have thought that if an email client was unable to display HTML that it would just display the actual HTML as text. Not that I deal with many email client issues (other than my own when they occur). :)

Do you use AOL?

No I use Outlook express

Huh, I use Outlook too and don't have any problems getting them. Do you have a firewall? Maybe your firewall is detecting something in them and stripping them?

I'm not 100% if you can, and if so, how to do this in Outlook (I use Thunderbird), but see if you can't find a menu entry titled "Message Source" or something similar (probably under the "View" menu heading). Use that on your empty IPT email. See if you can see the content in there at all.

Also, try cutting/pasting the header info here so we can see it - that might help figure this out as well. Especially the "content-type" header line. Remove the more personal stuff (like any lines that have your email addy in them).

sure did, and I emailed them but no response yet

Have you considered trying another email client just to either confirm (or rule out) that the problem is with outlook express? I use Mozilla Thunderbird. You might try that out and see if the problem persists.

In the meantime highrun.......the content of that e mail just tells you that the group draws for The IPT NA open will be published tomorrow;)
