IPT entry fees are too high

This might be the most profound statement about "reality" television ever written.

Yep, pool players not getting paid as expected has been a 'reality' at one point in time for all those involved.

Where did you here that half of the 2007 schedule is cancelled ???

On the web site everything for 2007 is "To be announced" as far as dates go, they are just names on paper at this point.

Good question Jasper,it would be interesting to hear from NYC Dude where and when he thinks the now apparently widely accepted notion that there will be no 2007 tour events until the second half of 2007 came about.

However to be fair he didn't actually say cancelled ,he said postponed.

Not a single event listed on the currently available IPT schedule for the 2007 tour has even got an original date or venue allocated never mind a postponement date.

Edit...."snap" macguy...drafted whle you were posting above,lol.

I am told by several IPT players that this was stated by IPT Staff and MS in Reno. No tournaments until July and only 6-7 events. All pie in the sky at the moment of course given its struggling to payout Reno still.

Players putting on brave face but many are definately worried. I still think there's a good chance they might get paid BUT all this confussion is causing havoc with there travel plans. Many are still scared to book flights and hotels, especially since some have already been BURNED TWICE before (Flights booked for Orginal IPT dates and London, both cancelled very late)

sorry guys, I missed the question of how I heard that the ipt was postponing the 2007 schedule.

Craig (the one) is right. At the reno players meeting, some players were told this. I know specifically some european players were told, but i believe it was after the formal meeting, but still while they were all in the room. One player even called me from there. This was after they were told about london's cancellation, but before the non payment issues. I must say, even though this news made me even more skeptical, these guys were still believing. My response to the word postponement then, still hasn't changed. If they are postponing half the year, do you really think they will be squeezing in the missed events?

In an interview with Rico Diks at Insidepoolmag.com after one of his matches at World Open, he said that it suited him perfect that the first half of the year was without tournaments, because he then could spend time on his music projects. So he had got the message.

But there is no news about it, and nothing on the IPT website
