I assume what I am writing here is basically out in the public domain now, so here's some of the great things ahead for the IPT as told to the players by KT today.

Expected Prizemoney Payouts
2006 min. 8 million
2007 18 million
2008 26 million

Minimum Payments to 2007 IPT members 'Guaranteed 100,000'.

Payments will come not only from prizemoney, but also for
1. Recruitment of players into the 24 Worldwide qualifying events
2. Licensing commissions of sales from Tables, cloth, chalk, balls, racks, bags, hats, t-shirts, X-Box Pool, DVDs in video rental stores and in Wall Mart type retailers...a percentage of these sales will go to IPT tour players.
3. Corporate exhibitions / appearances
4. Corporate Sponsorships assisted by IPT management

Minimum 2006 player prizemoney is 2,000 for the North American Open and 5,000 for the World Championship, possibly additional payments from merchandising commissions etc.

The venue is fantastic, players have their own room with showers, masseusses, free organic (very tasty) foods.

Anyway, the players were buzzing during and after KT's speech. Several standing ovations. Seems the players, and especialy the players who perform are going to be looked after very well.

Oh, btw...other news that may interest some of the IPT hopefuls is that quite a few internationals never arrived. Such as Johl Younger and Quinten Hann.

There could be as many as 15-20 new spots to fill (just guessing).

I nominate Craig "The One" Riley....so long as I don't get him in the first round :( :p

Yes, Bernie was the first guy I met there. We were the earliest arrivals. Bernie even got a personal tour of the venue with KT:eek:

He's quite a character...a talkative chap.

Also I caught up with Jam and Keith, Linda and even a couple of top pros introduced themselves as they often read the forums here, though rarely post.

One even mentioned Drivermaker to me, infering the guy was a bit crazy.

The have about 15 computers set up at the venue and so I expect you'll get some regular results updates from the AZ members in attendence.

I'm off to the venue now.

Cheers all!
Colin

score updates?

Does anyone know the place where we can get score updates, possibly live updates?

Colin, we appreciate getting the scoop from a man on the inside.

Be sure to let us know how your 10-ahead for $10K challenge match with Efren goes. And also fill us in on any action your road partner, Bender, gets. I don't know whose stroke is more robotic: his or Neils' (jk).

Santos and Potier weren't here either. So with Lipsky, that makes 5 openings???
There are a couple of other Aussies that I think are missing too. John Wimms, David Reljic and Joe Minici? I haven't come across them yet.

I thought maybe someone mistook Ernesto for someone else, just trying to clarify. Didn't mean to anger you and prompt you to reply with a 4th grade remark. Sorry, I will go back to lurking again. Take care.

This guy'll be on national tv before we know it...
