I am throwing an 8 person Micro Qualifier on Thursday 8/31/06 at Shooters in Burnsville, MN. Winner gets entry into a $200 Mini of their choice.

$25 entry. Signup at 6:30PM. Starts at 7:00PM. Shooters is throwing in the table time.

Give me a call at 952-237-1999 if you want to enter. I would like to throw these every Tuesday and Thursday if there is enough interest.

Shooters is having $200 mini's every weekend and three qualifiers for the 2007 Tour Qualifier. Please call 952-894-1100 for more info.

So don't take this wrong, but...

So for $25, you can play in a qualifier, to play in another qualifier, to play in yet ANOTHER qualifier, to play in the actual IPT tour card qualifier?

Did I miss any qualifiers?

That's how poker gets most of the 8,000 people who play in the $10,000 entry World Series event.
 
This is exactly what I am talking about!!!!

It is possible through this type of tournament to go all the way to the top for $25.

Sure, you have to win your spots but it's possible and that is what the tour is all about.

In poker you can play in a $10 qualifier to get in a larger tournament where the prize is a $10,000 entry into the world series.

Just imagine a thousand players across the country playing in mini's like this every week. Some of those players are going to go all the way to the big show and that will be the story.

It's a process, you win at each succesive stage and then you are ready for the IPT!

I think it's already been proven that players who come through qualifiers are tough and do well.

Kudos to anyone and everyone who is holding mini-minis!!!!! Get the players involved and let's get this thing going. Let's get some satelitte tours going and build a strong foundation for the path to the pros.

I was just exploring the irony of qualifying for qualifiers. :D

It's not a bad idea IMHO as well - setting it up so that the total fees for one tier of a qualifyer pays for the entry fee for the next one for the winner.

Hope you get the 8-players and it becomes a regular fixture.

It think for the IPT to work well, there will need to be dozens of mini-qualifiers and perhaps 100+ micro-qualifiers for each actual qualifying event. I don't think that's unrealistic once the word on the IPT gets around. Could take a couple of years to build up though.

Until then, the qualifying systems will only contribute about 20-25% of the total prize-money for each event, and a considerably lower percentage of the total event costs.

10 man tourney, entry fee is a dime! Winner wins entry into $1 nano qualifier. :D

That would be the pico qualifier, oh well sod pool I'm off to bring out my new 6 blade razor! :rolleyes:

I assume some smarta$$ will be holding a 1c femto qualifier before we know it! :)

The next Micro Mini will be Thursday 9/7/06 at 7:00. I will take signups anytime between now and then. Call me at 952-237-1999 if you are interested. It is limited to 8 players.
