Many thanks for the links. What a showing of a true champion by both Thorsten and Marlon.. I wish I could have been there.

Matches

Marlon and Thorsten - I could see why Marlon did not make any balls on his last break in the final match. He hit the head ball to the right (his right) of the line from the cueball to the head ball (more straight on - broke from left side of table), and balls were close to pockets, but that is all.

Thorsten did not have what I would call a hard out on the last 2 tables, plus on the last game, he broke the balls well.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marlon and Django - Uncharacteristic miss by Bustamante on the 9 ball. Marlon did not hit the 6 first on that safe, and although Bustamante did a good crossover bank to the corner, I did not see why he did not put the cue ball behind the 9, and shoot it straight into the corner. It would have been fairly close, but with a little angle on the shot, he could have gotten shape on the 8 ball next.

The Billiards Tracker has all the Eurosport coverage up, that's more than 8 hours of pool, very good quality, sadly the commentary is in German.

Please go to the page and register and you can get it all. Remember to seed after you're done!

Thanks a bunch!!!

I actually enjoyed seeing what took place in the controversial KOTH match between Manalo and Bustamante. I also think this is the kind of game that can educate the lay public of the common blunder of making all your balls and leaving your tie up balls for last.

My Windows Media Player does not recognize that extension. What program should I use to play the videos in that torrent? Thanks

You have to get a torrent client to download the torrent.

You'll have to get a bittorrent client. There are plenty around. My suggestion would be μtorrent.

Marlon hit that break as perfect as anyone can. For some reason, the rack seemed a little bit sluggish. He still got a good spread, but the way they reacted, the balls near the spot by the 8 ball didn't move much. Normally when players hit the head ball square, the whole rack explodes. Marlon got unlucky, he didn't break bad.

I am not saying ...

That he hit the rack bad. What I am saying is he hit the rack to far to the right. I believe he meant to hit the head ball in a straight line from where it was spotted (like Thorsten did on his last break), but think it veered to the right some, which is why he did not make a ball. That little bit on the head makes a difference whether you make balls or just come within 2 inches of a pocket. That is what I am saying.

I notice the 4 posted videos are no longer available for viewing at U Tube.
Wonder if KT came down on them with his lawyers?

Go to the four links at You Tube and here's the message you get instead of the video clips:

We're currently putting out some new features, sweeping out the cobwebs and zapping a few gremlins.

We'll be back later. In the meantime, please enjoy a layman's explanation of our website...
How it works...
