IPT pay for flight, room, air, expenses?

The only world class pool tournament that I've ever heard of the players flights and hotels being paid for by the tournament organiser is The WPA Worlds held in Fujairah UAE.A member of the ruling family of that small emirate picks up the tab for all 64 participants:)

While not a large tournament, it is my understanding that all the players on both of the Mosconi Cup teams get airfare for themselves and one guest, an appearance fee, and lodging.

Sorry Mikey, but that is incorrect. Only sponsor/organiser invited players get this benefit. In 2005 this amounted to a dozen players (including Wu). Others who qualified through various other means had to pick up their own expenses, unless they were helped by their own federations. The only American in the field, Max Eberle, flew in without confirming his invitation, picking up his own tab. He managed to get a reserve spot but still went home empty handed after losing to Kevin Hew.

Matchroom sport pays for airfare and hotels for players in some of it's events. Mosconi Cup, WPL, and WPM, pretty good considering that prior to the IPT it was the only one putting up some decent $$$.

I think Dragon Promotions also help some of their players out.
Shouldn't be too hard to figure out which ones those are. I was recently told by someone that the guys signed up with DP had to give over a certain percentage not too far off the mark from what Mark Trainer was asking for. This was just one player, I don't know about the others. I do know that from the outside looking in, it looks as if certain DP players get all kinds of help while others do not.
