Is Acetal and Delrin the same?

There is one hundred times more info about cue making on this site than the entire www! Please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is a gazzillion times more delrin and acetal used in other industries. Materials are materials regardless of what you make with them. Their properties do not change when made into a cue or into a cutting board. As evidenced in this thread not all the answers are on AZ Billiards. Again, it's a big world out there.

<edit, I'll toss out one of my favorites as another example of why one should look beyond AZ for materials help> http://www.matweb.com/ This is a very good (if a little slow) site for materials information. A search on "delin" found 76 different products, all acetal homopolymers. IMO refernce sites like this one should be where one starts.

Pretty informative PDF and looks like acetal will work fine for what I intend to use it for. Even using it in a cue doesn't seem to be an issue.
