Yes...I am getting kind of excited! A little nervous too...I have never watched myself on TV.
It plays at 6 PM on the west coast...
Looking forward to hearing everyone's comments tomorrow...and please....bring it on! I know there are a couple of shots where I am gonna be yelling at the screen "WHAT WERE YOU DOING OUT THERE?"....so I want to hear from you all, too. (I am not inviting everyone to be mean...LOL...I am just saying that I can take a little friendly ribbing.)

It was great to watch you play on TV, Melissa. I love how you're animated out there. Yeah, there were some breaks that didn't go your way, but I would not be ashamed at all if I were you. For your first TV match, you made some awesome shots, especially when the cue ball wasn't in the best place. You know that because we have now seen you play on TV, we're all spoiled and are expecting more of this in the 2005 season. Best of luck this season and I look forward to hopefully seeing you win your first tour title.

OMG woman!!! You had me screamin' like a mad man at the TV. I have never done that with televised pool before, LOL. I loved it! I want more!!! I think you played fantastic. At first I was in disagreement with Steve's foul call, but on the replay it was evident that he made a good call. It was a tough shot with the lay out of the balls... IMO, different rolls... a different outcome and the US would have that trophy!!! All in all no real mistakes on your part, unless you wanna count that scratch...but who's countin'???

I even convinced my mother (who finds no joy in watching tournaments), to watch it with me, and I must say...
She was pulling for someone the entire time *cough* You, and talking smack to the other player..*cough* Corr. Nowwww I know where I got that from.
I think you know how many of us are cheering you on, and some, yeah, they may choose to silently applaud..but I for one, like to let everyone KNOW, in case they were unsure, when somebody rocks..so..I was like landshark77, sceraming, and shouting, haha.
My mother sends her best to you as well, and says she hopes you set fire to EVERYONES..um...Butts, next time around

Melissa after seeing you on TV, I need the last 4, breaks, and 2 on the wire in a race to 3. You played great and showed some character which is good for TV.
I felt so bad for you when you followed the ball into the corner with the cue ball. Happens to all of us even when us less skilled players are not playing in front of the cameras and a few hundred people.
You definitely showed potential and I am looking forward to seeing you on TV a lot more.

First of all...quit screamin at the TV...it doesn't help...and you are hurtin' the TV's feelings.
Seriously, I am glad you enjoyed it. After all....we aim to please! As for that scratch....I really don't want to talk about it. (I am going to write a letter of complaint to ESPN....they should have edited that rack out instead of games 2,3, and 4 at the beginning of the match. Don't you just love watching me take a 1-0 lead...and then coming back to 2-2 after a commercial?)

Well, watched your FL match yesterday evening. ESPN's sound sucked.
VERY fuzzy. Not sure if it was just my reception or if it sucked everywhere. It definitely was NOT my yellin' at the TV...I ALWAYS yell at it...your AZ match was the first time I ever did for televised pool...if I stop yellin' at it then it might not think I love it anymore.
Oh and speaking of ESPN's editing...seems like they edited out of the games that you won against Julie...what was up with that? But you did get your request, they edited all the ones you scratched in
, the only problem was they showed it during the rack highlights, LOL.
And how could I not cheer you on?? You return the goodness, btw, there is this Mercedes I have my eye on...maybe when you make it over to this side of the states next month we can swing by and you can "pick it up" for me....
