If you want to build up your wrap with grip tape or tournagrip if you have large hands or if it simply helps you stroke the Cue better..is that legal for APA and BCA play. I did it on one of my Cues today and it helped very much but i dont want to do it if it is illegal.

I don't think it's illegal BCA rulewise. I don't know about the APA. I can't imagine it would be a problem though.

I don't see anything in the APA rules that would make it illegal. Of course there may be local bylaws that are more specific than the national rules. I don't see why it would be illegal since it doesn't affect the hit of the cue ball. The only thing I might find wrong with it is if there is a bylaw regarding cue weight and the additional wrap made the cue too heavy...or if it were neon green or pink.

I don't think color of the wrap, or any other part of the cue is in any rules. But I'm sure it's in the unwritten rule of "not getting beat up at the biker bar you play in".

You will find a clause in the United States Constitution outlawing girly colors from use in billiard/pool cues. You're restricted to manly colors, or else.

Oh man you just opened a whole new line of cues! With finger grips of all different sizes,all along the butt. One way your fingers fit right into them and the other it is smooth for different shots,,,like draw,follow.ect.. lol

Yep,,you went and did it now.:)

As far as I know::

As long as it "looks" like a pool cue, weights less than 25 oz, is longer than 40 inches and has a leather tip. You are good to go.

Why not pink or neon green,most apa players are to drunk at the end of the night to notice.
