I am trying to tell you get what you pay for. You obviously have the cheapest package. For an additional 10 bucks a month you can get practically every fox sports channel in the country including the bay area. Check it out and then you won't have to worry about missing the ipt broadcasts.

With dish network that's not really accurate, we have the best sports package there is and due to the area that we live in, FOX isn't one of them, but yet one of buddies that lives 10 miles from us in the next county who pays the exact same as us, and has the same package gets all of the fox channels, we have talked to Dish a thousand times, and we still are not in the area where FOX is available.

There are packages available on their website but I haven't pursued them so I don't know if I would have this problem or not. LOL it's quite possible considering how small of a town I live in.

What it boils down to is that I don't get the channels with the package that I have. I also do not have the expendable income to upgrade to a premium package right now.

Regardless of whether the package & channels are available for purchase, I cannot afford them which means what I've been saying all along... I don't have Fox Sports and right now I've no means to get Fox Sports so if the IPT is on Fox Sports, I will not have access to it.

Gee a whole 30 cents extra a day. You can travel all over the country to tournaments and can't afford it? I don't believe you. You are just trying to be right. I will tell you another way to do it even cheaper. Just before the IPT, sign up for the xtra package, then when you see the tournament and record it, cancel. You will only be charged a pro rate and you will pay maybe only a buck fity. Can you afford that? And don't say you cannot get it in your area or M gslinger either. Unless you live in a cave you can get it, the signal bounces off a satellite, tell me how you cannot get it if you pay for it.

LoL Dude we don't get it,,, we live in fairfax va, like I said one of our buddies that lives less then 10 miles away does get it, and I'm pretty sure it's not a cave we live in. would you like me to mail you our dish bill it's 94.00 a month

Not that my personal finances are any of your concern but since you want to throw the places that I've gone to in the past in my face, let me give you a little bit of info on the present.

I'm currently between jobs.... making what equals out to being $4.50 per hour less than what I'm used to making until I can find a permanent job. I'm single, live alone, no family to fall back on & lived pay check to pay check as it was.

I was a dumbass and dated a pool player.... ran up my credit card going to tournaments because he was too cheap to pay for it even though he had a lot more money than I did.

The money that I make right now is just enough to cover my utlities & credit card bills. My landlord is very understanding of my situation and allows me 3 weeks to pay my rent. If I hadn't paid my car off a few months ago I would be in a position to ruin my credit.

No, I don't have an extra $10 freaking dollars to get a premuim package on the satellite. Ultimately, yes I am right.... I can assure you that I would love to be wrong... being wrong would mean that I'm in a position to afford those little things. As it is, I sit my ass at home and got to local events that don't cost me anything. FYI, Valley Forge is 45 min away... I'm fortunate to have a friend that goes every yr that insists I stay with them and refuses to let me pay... were it not so close and if it wasn't free, I wouldn't be going.
 
FWIW, the only way I was able to go the DCC was because I was offered a job to work there. My expenses were paid by that company that I worked for, otherwise I wouldn't have been there. :rolleyes:

You don't have to account for your expenses or justify yourself to anyone on this board. If you can't do it, you can't do it and that should be enough for anyone. :)
 
I have Dish Network and I tried to get FSN today but I can't w/o upgrading to the Premium package or whatever it's called. I'm not interested in the top 120 channels, hell, I'm not even interested in the channels I have now, but it is possible for me to get FSN if I want to pay about double what I pay now. If they had just an E.S.P.N. and F.S.N. package, I'd be all over it. But they don't, so I'm screwed too, no pool for me. 24, C.S.I., House, and Prison Break, I think that's plenty for me.
