Is Jimbo Permanently Gone?

To be fair....I believe Jimbo was only banned for 1 month. That has long passed. Its his choice not to come back.

This is not true. When he came back to post, all his posts were blocked/hidden from the general public. So while he might be technically not "banned", figuratively he is.

Varney while its true that Jimbo was banned for a length of time and that time has passed its not true that he has been allowed back to full posting status.

While he is allowed to post we are not allowed to see these posts or comments. I guess that puts his status on this board in a state of limbo.

Just trying to set the record strait.

Regardless of his current status, JimBo is a saint!!!!!

In fact, I think he has his own national holiday (in Canada).

'The JimBo Army', referred to by someone else, is a group of individuals who are largely AZ members that have joined the ranks and crossed over to IP as well to support their fallen comrade. Myself, Icon of Sin, Bogey5431, Murray Tucker, Dave Barrenbrugge, Brooklyn Jay, Pool Monkey, buddha162, Eric., ridewiththewind, SactownTom, and many, many more are now posting on IP with Jim and love having his presence felt yet again.
don't forget 1proscoe.

LOL!! I've met Jim, and a saint he ain't!! And not in Canada. I was also on RSB in the early '90s and finally met up with Jimbo at Valley Forge one year. I miss him!

I had the pleasure of meeting Jim about two years ago at Valley Forge. This was during my days as a lurker here on this site. Back then, I was still kind of new to the whole scene. I'd been playing for a while and loved cues, but was still kind of a novice.

I had bumped into a friend of a friend who at the time was standing with two individuals. The first was a shorter asian guy who I immediately recognized as Inside Pool writer Fred Agnir (another proud AZB'er and IP Mag forum poster).

The second individual was about the same height as me and little stockier. He was introduced to me as 'Jimbo'. Immediately, it clicked as to who this was. Fred was looking around at all of the great stuff that was available as was Jim. Jim held a large, high powered digital camera in his hand and, as we walked, he explained some of the finer points of cuemaking and various cuemakers. I learned a lot from Jim in just that one brief chat. He was a really smart guy with a very unique and funny personality. He has a dry sense of humor but its one of the best around.

Unfortunately, I only came out of the woodwork and joined here on AZ shortly AFTER Jim's "ban". Perhaps one day, he'll be back. I know I sure miss him here. He was one of the best posters this site has known.
